NTS test now compulsory to become lawyer

LAHORE: With a view to bring about drastic changes in the legal profession, the Pakistan Bar Council has made the NTS test a mandatory for securing practising licences for new entrants to the profession.

PBC Vice Chairman Akhtar Hussain made this announcement on Friday at a press conference held at the Karachi Shuhada Hall of the Lahore High Court Bar Association. LHCBA’s President Ch Shehram Sarwar was also present.

Hussain said the decision had been taken as a standard of education in law colleges. He said a letter had been sent to the law ministry to introduce the amendment in the Legal Practitioners and Bar Council Act.
